For our coeliac friends and anyone with a gluten sensitivity, we’ve compiled a list of 10 of the best gluten-free restaurants in Dubai so you can relax and enjoy your meal, stress free. Some are dedicated GF venues, others some have detailed allergen labelled menus but they are all focused on delivering high-quality, delicious gluten-free food.

LE MERIDIEN MINA SEYAHI | DUBAI MARINA

With a 100% gluten-free menu, Bounty Beets is legendary in the GF Dubai dining world. No need to study the menu carefully to see what you can have - you can have it all! The menu is large, with everything from burgers in a GF brioche bun and pizzas on a GF homemade pizza base to a range of GF bread. It’s a calm and peaceful spot and the decor is extremely instagrammable. Service can be slow at times, so best to stop by when you’re not in a rush and enjoy a leisurely, stress-free GF meal with none of the worries of cross-contamination.

KOBEYa RESTAURANT

WASL VITA SHOPPING MALL

The first Japanese gluten free restaurant to open in Dubai, KOBEYa focuses on ‘putting the joy in gluten free dining’. This branch is the original, tucked away in a shopping mall near to City Walk. The kitchen is exclusively gluten free (yay!) and as the name suggests, Kobe beef features prominently on their menu alongside some other tasty dishes -  you can look forward to pizzas, burgers, wraps and more. If you’re looking for gluten free food near Dubai Marina they have another branch there, too - winning!

SEVA TABLE

27B STREET VILLA 5/1B | JUMEIRAH BEACH ROAD 

SEVA Table is an oasis of calm in the city. This beautiful cafe was the first 100% plant based, gluten free, cane sugar free and GMO free cafe in the Middle East - quite a mouthful, but a commendable claim to fame! Open since 2014, the cafe is located in a wellness centre, so you can enjoy a spot of yoga or some workshop while you’re there. The food at SEVA is healthy and guilt-free - dishes like ‘conscious nachos’, ‘immortality broth’ and a superfood salad match the vibe to a T. It’s the perfect place to take a book, unwind in the calm and peaceful surroundings and leave feeling a little more zen.

THE CYCLE BISTRO

DUBAI AUTODROME  GRANDSTAND | MOTOR CITY

This quirky cafe in Motor City is a paleo restaurant - so you’ll find no gluten, sugar or dairy. It’s a healthy restaurant, with a focus on offering a range of dishes filled with fresh ingredients - along with seasonal menus which change every 3 months. It’s not all salads and smoothies though - they have guilt free pizza, burgers and even delicious paleo cakes. Converted? They also offer a paleo meal plan with lots of options if that’s something you’re looking for.

WILD & THE MOON

ALSERKAL AVENUE | AL QUOZ

The chic Alserkal Avenue area is the perfect home for this stylish cafe. The menu is gluten free - tick - and features consciously-sourced, plant-based and seasonal ingredients. While there isn't a huge selection of dishes on the menu, what is on there is high quality and fresh. There’s tacos, a burger and a quesadilla in the hot meal section as well as a wide range of desserts (we LOVE their banana bread!). There’s another branch in downtown Dubai with views of the Burj Khalifa, perfect if you need a health-kick after shopping in Dubai Mall.

SOULGREEN DUBAI

RAS AL KHOR | DUBAI CREEK HARBOUR

Want a healthy meal so you can save your calories for your cocktails? This restaurant in Dubai Creek Harbour has it all: beautiful views, a huge gluten free menu and it even serves adult beverages! Whilst looking across the water at the Burj Khalifa, feast on a wide range of gluten free dishes, including nachos, bruschetta, gnocchi (gnocchi a la norma is our fave) and wraps. There’s a range of events every week, from ladies night and sundowners to bubbly night special - all with gluten free options available.

PAI THAI

JUMEIRAH AL QASR | MADINAT JUMEIRAH 

If you're in the mood for Thai food in Dubai, this gluten-free Thai restaurant is the place for you. Nestled in Madinat Jumeirah with the iconic Burj Al Arab as a backdrop, you can enjoy a wide range of gluten free dishes from their allergen labelled menu. The gluten free options are excellent - all their curries, some of their seafood dishes and their red Thai tea creme brulée for dessert will fulfil your Thai cravings - and then some. It’s not exclusively GF, so be sure to inform the staff when you’re ordering.

WAVEHOUSE

ATLANTIS THE PALM | PALM JUMEIRAH 

Got a group of people to please? This family-friendly restaurant is a great GF option to check out. With live music throughout the day, a free 5-storey soft play for children, bowling and arcade games, you won’t be bored at this fun venue. They have a separate gluten-free menu which has a good range of everything from their main menu:  burgers, pizza, pasta and dishes from the grill. It’s refreshing to have great gluten free options that aren’t health-kick focused - we love indulging with their burrata to start and the ribs for main. The wait staff are knowledgeable on allergies and you’ll feel in safe hands.

CAFE BATEEL 

PODIUM LEVEL SHOP | DIFC BUILDING 2 

If you’re looking for gluten free options in DIFC, head to Cafe Bateel. They have a special GF menu that won’t let you go hungry - sandwiches, salads and pasta await. Our favourite is the tiger-prawn spaghetti - delicious and carb-tastic! This menu is available in most Cafe Bateel locations across the city, aside from the Festival City and Mall of the Emirates branches. Do note, they cannot guarantee a gluten free environment as their dishes are all made in one kitchen but we’ve found staff very helpful when ordering.

FREEDOM PIZZA 

CLUSTER N | JUMEIRAH LAKE TOWERS (JLT)

Any coeliac will have a story about finding a delicious GF pizza spot - and then holding onto it for dear life! Freedom Pizza might just be what you’ve been looking for - visit one of their branches or order for delivery if you’re having a night in. They’re clued up on allergies and if you order delivery, the box is clearly marked GF and reaffirms that it’s been cooked in a different kitchen. It’s not an exclusively gluten free enterprise, but there are a large amount of GF pizzas available - between pepperoni, 4 cheese, the spicy ‘fired up’ and a classic margherita, your pizza craving will be satisfied. They’re really good and the same size as their regular pizzas - your friends won’t be able to taste the difference!
