Savoury Bites

All the savoury delicacies were as pretty as a picture, served up on a wooden sleigh next to the mini Christmas tree. Almost too cute to eat, the attention to detail is on point. We loved the five-spice smoked duck and confit orange bruschetta - the orange brought an on-point seasonal flavour - and the creamy lobster vol-au-vent with creamy bisque and shaved asparagus was cute as a button. Other nods to the festive season - roast turkey, cranberry gel, pistachio-crusted camembert - pop up throughout, delicious but not overbearing. The chestnut and bay spinach-filled chicken roulade on ginger brioche scored highly, too!

Sweet Treats

Your resident dessert addicts (us!) did the hard yards for you here - and we were suitably impressed! A nice mix of chocolate, fruit and creamy concoctions meant everyone will find a new favourite afternoon tea goodie. Honourable mentions? 

The spiced chocolate bavarois with a chocolate dome & sour cherry confit for a true chocolate hit, and the passion fruit and green tea yule log for something a little different. The eggnog pudding was really nicely flavoured - and don’t miss the yummy redcurrant confit macarons hiding in baubles on the tree! 

Not going to lie, if an afternoon tea doesn’t deliver on the scones, I’m always a little let down. No such problems here: the freshly baked scones - plain and cranberry raisin - were fluffy and broke apart easily, gobbled up with lashings of clotted cream and strawberry jam, or some winter marmalade for a festive touch. Almond marzipan stollen and Christmas cookies were a nice touch - and the leftover cookies came home with us!

Drinks 

The hot drinks are generous and high quality - the massive hot chocolate went down a treat - and we loved the special touch of a welcome drink. A shimmering pink concoction full of festive flavours and topped with cream, we enjoyed a little Christmas toast before we dived into the rest!

What a gorgeous afternoon this is! The presentation was fab, the food was excellent and there was almost too much for us to get through - despite skipping lunch! A lot of afternoon teas seem to nail the sweet or the savoury - but not both - or let the wheels fall off with their scones. Nothing of the sort at Osmo: it’s a proper treat from start to finish. Take a seat on the terrace for gorgeous views over the pool, or settle inside for a cosy afternoon - and maybe some piano tunes in the background. 

Impress your guests, take your mates for a pre-Christmas catch up or just treat yourself - it’s 100% worth it!
