Sure - Dubai Mall gets a lot of hype, but Mall of the Emirates really does hold its own as an ultimate shopping and dining destination. With over 600 retail shops, and more than 100 cafes and restaurants - not to mention its own ski slope - you could spend months trying to get through the lot. Don’t have time to waste? We’ve got you!

If you’re looking for the best restaurants in Mall of the Emirates, check out our round-up, cherry-picked with some of our favourite dining experiences in the mall. There’s a reason these are the most popular restaurants and cuisines - from Indian to Georgian, burger restaurants and steakhouses, you’re sure to find a restaurant to re-fuel during a big day at Mall of the Emirates.

Din Tai Fung

Level 2 | Near VOX Cinema

If you’re looking for top notch Asian food in Mall of the Emirates, Din Tai Fung is the place to go. Originating from Taiwan - and now with a number of branches across Dubai -  it’s extremely popular. Be prepared to wait an average of 20-30 minutes for a table (we recommend heading there for an early lunch to beat the queues!). It’s worth the wait though - their food is that good. No visit would be complete without trying their Xiao Long bao (we love the chicken), and the dumplings and shumai are up there with the best in the city. The pictures on the menu make it easy to order if you’re unfamiliar with the cuisine and the prices are reasonable - dishes start at AED30.

Al Hallab

Level 1 | Near Ski Dubai

You’ll find not one, not two, but four Al Hallab Lebanese restaurants in Dubai - and this one is conveniently located near Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates. The menu is huge, serving all the Lebanese classics including mankoushe (AED20), stuffed lamb (AED60) and kibbeh bil laban (AED48) alongside enough international dishes to keep all palates happy (think burgers and escalopes). Service is warm and welcoming, and the decor is traditional and authentic, so it’s a cute spot for visitors who want to taste some Arabic specialties. It’s probably our top choice if you’re looking for a Lebanese restaurant in the Mall of the Emirates - and you won’t leave hungry.

Established in 2000, Gazebo has 35 branches in the UAE - and you’ll find one of these excellent Indian restaurants in the Mall of the Emirates. The menu is generous, with a wide range of dishes prepared based on traditional recipes from the Mughal era. We love their roti (AED9) which are cooked to perfection, the Murgh tikka masala (AED52) is another of our favourites and their signature biryani (AED55) is a must-try. This restaurant is popular for a reason: the food is high quality, the service is welcoming and the prices are good. What’s not to love?

Level 2 | Star Atrium (next to VOX Cinema)

Tribes is a must-try restaurant in Mall of the Emirates. The restaurant is bright and airy, and conveniently tucked away round the corner from the cinema - perfect if you want to grab a lunch or dinner before your movie. The menu is inspired by the food and flavours of Africa, setting it apart from many of the others in the mall. Look out for the Moroccan spiced grilled chicken breast (AED125), peri-peri prawns (AED198) and the Madagascar half chicken (AED120). Can’t decide what to order? We love the Hakuna Matata platter (AED205 - pictured) which features all their hot starters on one plate - it’s great for sharing, and the name alone sucks us in!

Cipriani Dolci

Ground Floor

Want to feel a little fancy? If you’re after a decadent cafe in Mall of the Emirates, head to Cipriani Dolci. You can dine in the golden nest-like structure under the bright and airy dome, or take a booth in their gilded wooden restaurant. The menu is on the smaller side for salads and a selection of mains, but you’ll find the Cipriani classics such as carpaccio and steak tartar -, always crowd-pleasers. The star of the show is the dessert selection - a drool-worthy array of freshly baked cakes and tarts. It’s certainly not cheap - mains average AED100 and salads AED80 but watch out for dessert, as it’s the cakes that hurt the wallet. At AED95 for a slice of chocolate cake,  it’s one of the most expensive in the city - but there’s no denying it’s tasty!
