This is the perfect Sunday brunch in Abu Dhabi for anyone who
- Loves to relax on a fabulous terrace
- Loves the thrill of dining beside the Yas Marina Circuit
- Enjoys great Greek food in Abu Dhabi
Highlights: impeccable lamb, lovely terrace, fresh Greek flavours, buzzy Yas Island location.
Chase the Sunday scaries away with a laidback afternoon at Pappas Taverna. A Sunday brunch as pretty as it is delicious, it’s quite the ‘choose your own adventure’ experience. It’s one you could gather the whole family for, with sharing plates of excellent food and a backdrop that’s elegant without being snobby. On the other hand, it’s so pretty and the food is hearty without being heavy - so we’d happily go back for a girls day out or a big group of mates.

DRINKS!
Usually we start with the food (of course!), but a great selling point of this brunch for us? Brunch is a standard price (AED275 per person) - then drinks are available à la carte. Order a tasty cocktail or two, perfect for a Sunday when you don’t want to go overboard but don’t mind an afternoon tipple. Winning!
Celebrating, or don’t have work on Monday? They’ve got you - add on a three hour beverage package for AED185 - and it means you can make the most of the super cute rosé wine station as well! (Since alcohol is served à la carte otherwise, the station is only for those who opt for the package - perfect for our rosé all day fans!)

GREAT GREEK FOOD!
Maybe our favourite structure for brunch, Pappas Sunday brunch is a mix of both buffet and a sharing-style table menu. At the table, work your way through meze, tuna tartare, A5 Wagyu souvlaki bites (these were so good!) and a gorgeous Greek salad. Mains? Get ready for lobster moussaka - divine! - and feta calamari spirals.
Head to the live grill station, where it’s all about the protein! We couldn’t get enough of the lamb - and shamelessly went back for seconds - as well as chicken, steak and plenty of seafood. The chicken souvlaki skewers hated to see us coming - don’t skip them! - and there’s a seafood paella that’s another star of the show.
Desserts land - sharing style - on the table, perfect for when you’ve almost succumbed to your food coma. It’s a parade of classic Mediterranean favourites: excellent baklava mille-feuille and Greek yogurt make an appearance, but our pick? Loukoumades with black honey and 24K gold leaf, both delicious and boujee!

VIBE!
Take a seat on the lovely bright terrace - our favourite spot - surrounded by greenery, and you’ll catch the exhilarating roar of cars on the F1 track every so often - adding a little buzz to your Sunday outing. Otherwise, settle inside: the interiors are pretty as a picture, and the open kitchen and bar bring a nice bustling warmth to brunch.
