Brunch In Bloom at DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai - Jumeirah Beach

The concept is simple: seasonal, sustainable dining with ingredients sourced within a 50-mile radius to support local farmers and producers. This is the kind of ethos we can get behind! And the bottom line: the food tastes good and is beautifully presented.

There are some stand-out starters: the beef buffalo mozzarella flatbread and corn and cheese empanadas were fantastic, bringing some great home-grown ingredients with them. For mains, the beef anticuchos with smoked basil and tomato chimichurri are incredibly moreish, while the truffle honey mustard lamb chops (what a flavour combination!) are a must-try. For vegetarians, the crispy cauliflower tacos are another winner - in fact we’d order these again!

Would it even be brunch without Dubai’s signature flavour making an appearance?! The pistachio and kunafa chocolate pot for dessert is a standout, but don’t skip the crêpe with berries and cardamom ice cream - this is simple, refined, and gives just the right amount of sweet.

Drinks get their own moment too, thanks to Sameer’s live cocktail trolley. Everything is made tableside with zero refined sugar, and both the amber grove and the electric blue indigo gimlet (Tanqueray gin, apple juice, blueberry cordial, basil) hit the mark. Add a live singer, the sound of the waves in the background, and the bonus of pool and beach access, and you’ve got yourself a great Saturday spot to unwind and watch the afternoon slip by.
