These are perfect for impressing your guests, or a day when you think you deserve a treat - and why not?!

SOCIAL BEE LOBBY LOUNGE

HILTON DUBAI, PALM JUMEIRAH 

The Social Bee lobby lounge, found in the light and airy atrium of the Hilton, Palm Jumeirah offers a fun bee-themed afternoon tea experience! The tea is delivered in a bee-hive and contains lots of drawers filled with cakes and pastries, including the delectable Hatta Honey cake and their signature carrot cake. At AED349 per stand for 2 people with unlimited tea and coffee or AED499 for premium (includes a bottle of Prosecco) it’s a fun, insta-worthy afternoon tea and decent value for money.

RAFFLES SALON

RAFFLES HOTEL | SHEIKH RASHID ROAD

This fun, traditional afternoon tea is a great option if you want to involve the kids. Offering a separate kids afternoon tea menu for AED75 per child you can have a special afternoon out with the family without breaking the bank. The afternoon tea for adults is AED185 and includes scones, pastries and cakes. If you feel like treating yourself, they offer afternoon tea and a 60-minute massage in Raffles Spa for only AED550 per person.

AT.MOSPHERE 

BURJ KHALIFA | 122nd FLOOR | DOWNTOWN DUBAI

Enjoy an indulgent afternoon tea in the world’s tallest building at At.mosphere on the 122nd floor. As you’d expect, the views are incredible and offer panoramic scenes of the city. There are a range of different packages available: luxurious high tea with a window seat for AED850 (which includes a bottle of champagne and a main course), sparkling high tea with window table for AED550 (inclusive of one glass of prosecco) or AED450 for La Gourmandizes afternoon tea for pastries and cakes without the premium views.

QE2

PORT RASHID | BUR DUBAI

For the quintessential British afternoon tea, try the Royal afternoon tea aboard the majestic QE2. There are 2 options available for this unique experience - the Cunard package (AED165 for adults and AED110 for children) which offers cold bites and pastries, or the Brittania package (AED195 for adults and AED135 for children) which features cold and hot canapes and pastries. The setting on the boat adds to the magic and you’ll feel transported back in time with many original features on-board.

SOFITEL DUBAI THE OBELISK

Le Goûter vault afternoon tea offers afternoon tea served in a vault. There’s a great mix of sweet and savoury bites to enjoy which offer twists on the classics, including a sweet club sandwich, filled with chocolate cream and raspberry jam, and a savoury eclair, with cream cheese and roasted capsicum and zucchini. There are a few different packages to choose from, starting at AED95 per person for unlimited hot beverages and homemade lemonade, AED275 for the above with 1 glass of non-alcoholic French sparkling wine or AED325 for the unlimited hot beverages and 1 glass of Champagne. Feeling fancy? Indulge in your afternoon tea in Club Millésime on the 51st floor of the hotel for great views.

EMILY IN PARIS AFTERNOON TEA

PARAMOUNT HOTEL, MIDTOWN

For fans of the popular show Emily in Paris, you can have your own authentic French afternoon tea in the setting of the Malibu Sky Bar and Lounge. Found on the 64th floor of the Paramount hotel, the menu includes all the favourites like croque monsieur, mini beef bourguignon pies and of course, a huge buttery croissant. It’s one of the better value afternoon teas, costing AED220 per couple. It’s worth noting the lounge is next to the pool area so customers are often on the more casual side.

SHAI SALON & TERRACE 

FOUR SEASONS RESORT DUBAI | JUMEIRAH BEACH

If you’re looking for an elegant afternoon tea then Shai Salon & terrace delivers. Served in three sequences, there’s an emphasis on fancy with sweet and savoury bites including sea bass escabèche, Royale shrimp cocktail and the delectable Tahitian vanilla and hibiscus “pebble”. This is a great option for foodies who want to try some new flavours whilst enjoying beautiful views, and it can be enjoyed for AED240 for two people.

THE ROYAL TEAROOM 

ATLANTIS THE ROYAL, THE PALM

The afternoon tea at the Royal Tearoom in the impressive Atlantis The Royal hotel stands out. This sumptuous experience in a room that’s nothing short of luxurious is a very très Dubai experience, making it perfect for when you have family visiting and you need something special, or for that one friend who you want to spoil. This award winning afternoon tea is curated by Executive Pastry Chef Christophe Devoille and it is a feast for the eyes (and the palate!). Chef prides himself on using local ingredients wherever possible and this shows up in the excellent and interesting flavour combinations. At AED560 for two people it’s not especially pocket-friendly, but its location and the quality make it worth a treat.

AL FAYROOZ LOUNGE

JUMEIRAH AL QASR 

One of the classic afternoon tea spots in Dubai, it’s popular for a reason! With decadent interiors or great views of the Burj Al Arab from their terrace there isn’t a bad table. Pastry chef Dimitiri delights with a selection of pastries and cakes and, of course, scones. There’s a large selection of loose-leaf teas to choose from and you can even add a glass of bubbly for extra indulgence! It costs AED210 per person for classic afternoon tea, or AED310 if you want to add a glass of Champagne.

GRAND PALACES AFTERNOON TEA

BLÜTHNER HALL, RAFFLES THE PALM  

For the grandest afternoon tea in Dubai, head to the aptly named ‘Grand Palaces afternoon tea’ at Blüthner hall. Set in possibly the most sumptuous setting in Dubai you can enjoy a range of sandwiches, tarts, pastries and scones, with desserts inspired by famous European palaces, including the Victoria sponge cake and the indulgent Sacher torte. The hot beverages include tea, coffee and even hot chocolate! All of this for AED395 for two people, or add a glass of Champagne for AED575 for two.

JOSETTE

ICD BROOKFIELD PLACE | DIFC

If you’re looking for an afternoon tea in the DIFC area, the chic venue Josette offers a beautiful, colourful Parisian-inspired afternoon tea. Their ‘Sparkling Afternoons’ menu includes a range of savoury, pastries and viennoiserie selection. Everything is pretty, including their candy coloured macarons! As the name suggests, you can indulge in a glass of Champagne with your afternoon tea for AED250 - or enjoy the non-alcoholic package for AED185 per person.
