What a breeze Khalidiya Palace’s Turkey Takeaway is this season - and the best part? You aren't spending hours in the kitchen or working yourself into a tizzy trying not to burn the turkey and have it all ready at the same time - not the stress we want for our festive season, thanks! 

Turkey season started off with a bang this week - all packaged up in a cute box, we slid the lid off to see a beautifully laid out wooden tray, the turkey in pride of place and surrounded by generous helpings of stuffing, gravy and sides. Strong start!

We loved this one last year, and Khalidiya Palace didn’t let us down for 2025 either. The turkey looked fab, and having rested on the drive home, was still very juicy upon carving (and for leftovers the next day). Very nice meat, well-seasoned and great to eat.

The stuffing that came with it was herbed nicely and in perfectly sliced roulades, looking extra pretty on the table. The ‘messy’ accompaniments (gravy, cranberry sauce, apple sauce and mashed potato) arrived in lovely big jars - pretty, and ready for the table ‘as-is’ if you want to save on washing up! Gravy was on the saltier side, but worked really well with the meal: liberally applied and mopped up with bites of stuffing, carrots and smooth mash - yum! 

Sides included skin-on new potatoes, which were seasoned nicely and while obviously not your traditional roasties, were a pleasant inclusion, as well as good carrots, tasty Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and roasted chestnuts.
