Pretty As A Picture: EL&N Adds Two Fabulous New Locations in Abu Dhabi

EL&N Marina Mall 

A refined yet chic take on the EL&N brand, you’ll still find splashes of pink, but in a more elegant style. Located upstairs on level one, there’s the main cafe as well as some cute satellite seating by Marina Mall’s atrium - perfect if you need a little more space for gathering with friends or want to settle into a booth for a working lunch. 

The first thing you’ll spot is the cake display - not sure I’ll ever not be dragged to it like a magnet - with a bunch of individual patisserie treats, as well as the gorgeous full-size cakes to order by the slice. Don’t skip their main menu, though. If you’re in breakfast mode, the full English breakfast is a winner - special mention for the halloumi and hash browns. We loved the freshness of EL&N’s watermelon, feta and grape salad, but we had to order the salted caramel Matilda cake. It’s a proper treat, and worth the decadence. The whole thing was washed down with EL&N’s signature refreshing - and pretty - drinks, and the coffee is on point too. Perfect for a break during your next shopping trip - or as a destination all on its own!

EL&N Deli & Bakery Reem Mall

No pink in sight, the newest EL&N outlet nails the deli vibe: the interiors are still cool, with sage green tiling and pops of red, and an enviable display of baked goods by the entrance. You’ll find plenty of your favourite EL&N cakes - selfishly, I’m so glad I can now get these on Reem Island - but plenty of newcomers as well. Pastries, sweet croissant cubes - the savoury version of these are also well worth a try - and beautiful individual cakes are all lined up ready for the choosing. Savoury focaccias and pizzettas will tempt you too - and the full menu is available if you prefer something from the kitchen. Our picks? Stracciatella pistachio focaccia, EL&N shakshouka and pretty much anything from the sweet cabinet. Drinks are dreamy - the ocean blue iced matcha and strawberry & coconut iced matcha concoctions are as pretty as they are tasty. 

It’s a relaxed spot, and a welcome addition to the dining scene in Reem Mall - find them on level one!

EL&N Yas Bay Waterfront

The OG Abu Dhabi EL&N location, if you’ve walked along Yas Bay waterfront, you can’t have missed it. This dreamy Yas Bay hot spot is a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds: mini cereal pancakes, chicken and pink waffles, and four varieties of French toast all feature on a menu that is as fun as the decor. The cake display requires stronger willpower than ours to pass up, and there are plenty of cute backdrops to snap a pic inside and out - Barbie would approve.
