In the heart of the city, World Trade Center Abu Dhabi - affectionately called the Candlesticks, the iconic towers that make for a striking addition to the city skyline - is a hub for business, shopping and busy residents and visitors alike. All the action downtown promises one thing: you’re sure to work up an appetite, but just which restaurants in WTC Mall are worth a visit?

WTC Mall food court doesn’t have to be the only option for lunch or dinner when you’re on the go - we’ve got some great cafes, restaurants and bars to put on your radar.

The Hub

Scorpio Sting

Level 5 - The Hub

Scorpio Sting - upstairs in WTC Mall's The Hub on Level 5 - is bursting with Asian flavours. Enjoy your favourite dishes and some fun fusion of Filipino, Thai, Chinese and Korean BBQ - cooked right at your table.

A steal at just AED199 per person, Scorpio Sting’s Asian brunch will not only score you a 5 course set menu - highlighting a bunch of Asian flavours - but unlimited drinks for three whole hours from 2PM - talk about great value! Live entertainment from the resident band and DJ is on hand throughout brunch to keep the vibes high as you dig into plenty of Asian favourites like sushi, noodles and stir fried deliciousness. Not drinking? The soft package is just AED119 including mocktails, so it makes for a fantastic Saturday afternoon out in the heart of the city.

If you’re visiting outside of brunch, we also have a fabulous BB+ discount of 30% off a la carte at Scorpio Sting, so you can fulfil your Asian food cravings any day of the week - and you can partake in a spot of karaoke while you’re at it!

The Irish Vickers

Level 6 - The Hub

Looking for great music or some sporting action in the heart of downtown? We know the spot! With multiple deals throughout the week and a happy hour Monday to Saturday from 12-7PM, you’ll find plenty to keep you satisfied - and among the World Trade Center restaurants, this one is one of our faves (even if it’s technically a bustling Irish pub!). Add to that plenty of screens and fun extras like bowling lanes and darts, it’s easy to while away an evening full of Irish spirit (or spirits).

If you’re a roast dinner fan, you can follow up a morning of shopping with a generously sized Irish Sunday roast, and enjoy roast beef or tender roast chicken with fluffy golden roast potatoes, their edges crisped to perfection, and mashed potato. Delicious seasonal vegetables are doused in velvety gravy, and completed with a huge Yorkshire pudding. Centrally located, it makes for a great Sunday outing downtown - stick around for some dancing or kick back on the terrace with shisha.

The Mall

Pickl.

Ground Floor (enter from the street)

One of the most popular destinations for delicious American-style burgers and fast food in Abu Dhabi, this Pickl branch is conveniently located at WTC Mall for your downtown burger cravings. Known for its mouthwatering fried chicken and signature burgers, Pickl has outlets across the UAE - including Mamsha Beach on Saadiyat. Skip the trek off-island, and front up to WTC Mall instead: diners can tuck into the classics - think the Pickl Chicken Sandwich, a stack of Impossible Cheeseburgers, plant-based burgers and Little Pickl kids burgers - tasty. Burgers start at around AED38, or make it a combo from AED64 up to around AED88 for the fancy ones - it might not be the cheapest burger joint, but it’s one of the best.

Frequently popping up in lists of the best fried chicken in Abu Dhabi and best burgers, keep an eye out for seasonal specials. Pickl is a popular choice amongst the WTC mall restaurants - quick, easy and delicious! Three big ticks from us - and you won’t leave hungry.

Leen’s

Ground Floor

One of the more upmarket restaurants in WTC Mall, Leen’s is on the pricier side - it’s cafe pricing rather than a downtown hidden gem - but the quality of food stacks up. You’ll find the likes of 9+ grade Wagyu beef and fresh Norwegian salmon on the menu, along with focus on Japanese specialties - poke bowls, donburi, sushi, sashimi, nigiri and gyoza. With some sandwiches, salads and wraps thrown in for good measure, Leen’s makes for quite the dining all rounder - and their breakfast menu is worth a try, with a host of egg dishes (AED65 for eggs Benny) alongside your classic French toast (AED59) or pancakes (AED65).

One of 6 outlets across Abu Dhabi and Dubai - including one in Yas Mall and the popular Surf Cafe by Leen’s by Sunset Beach in Dubai - they know what they’re doing. Good food, a nice setting and a focus on quality - they’re speaking our language.

Open: daily | 10AM - 10PM | until 11PM Friday & Saturday

The Food Court

The food court in WTC Mall is located on the bridge between the main mall and the Souk - if you’re headed from the retail stores to LuLu Hypermarket, or are taking the kids to Pop In & Play, you’ll walk through the WTC food court outlets - they’re hard to miss. You’ll find the standard options you’d expect - McDonalds, KFC, Popeyes & Papa Murphy’s Pizza - meaning you can get your fast food fix of burgers, fried chicken and pizza on the go. Mix it up with some of the other WTC Mall food court options - there is definitely some good food to be had.

Doner & Gyros

WTC Mall Food Court

Making their UAE debut back in 2014, Doner & Gyros unites the founder’s two favourite foods in an unlikely - and winning - combination. Blending Greek, Turkish and German origins, satisfy your hunger pangs with gyros, doner kebabs, wraps, bowls, salads and loaded fries - hot off the press and ready in minutes. Vegetarians are looked after - enjoy some fresh falafel in place of beef or chicken in basically every menu item. Enjoyed under the sun on a Greek Island, maybe not - but not half bad either! They even claim to have the world’s first Dubai Chocolate Doner - if you try it, let us know what you think.

The Souk

The Botanic Atrium

Ground Floor

Against a colourful backdrop of plants and bright artwork on the walls, this welcoming eatery on the Souk side of WTC Mall is bursting with different cuisines. Whether you’re in the mood for fusion Chinese, Thai, Turkish, Indian & Pakistani or seafood, The Botanic Atrium has you covered. It’s an eclectic mix - but among the WTC Mall restaurants it certainly wins on variety!

You’re not short of options - everything from succulent momos, pad thai and tandoori mixed grill to mango sticky rice and fried ice cream (yum!) is on the menu. Take a break from the eager peddlers and sellers in the Souk - a delicious retreat is waiting. An easy pick for lunch or dinner downtown - especially with colleagues with different tastes!
