Open Masters Games

Zayed Sports City

6-15th February

This is the place to be this week if you love to watch (or play!) great sport. Featuring 37+ sports including tennis, athletics and rugby at Zayed Sports City, this is a big week for Abu Dhabi sport.

It's free to spectacte but the opening ceremony is ticketed - check out Open Masters Games at ticketmaster.ae

Where's good to eat if you're heading to the Open Masters Games?

  • The Noodle House above the bowling at Zayed Sports City is a great Chinese restaurant, with authentic Chinese food
  • DRVN across the road from the stadium entrance serves great coffee, light meals and really good breakfasts
  • Go across Maqta bridge to Abd el Wahab at the Souq at Qaryat al Beri for great Lebanese food (licensed to serve alcohol) or to the
  • Fairmont Bab al Bahr to Cafe Sushi for incredibly good sushi - and an amazing unlimited offer for AED179 per person

Manarat al Saadiyat

Are you an anime enthusiast? Youre going to want to set your Google maps for Manarat al Saadiyat and hit up Animenia. Get into some serious cosplay alongside gaming zones and some very cool live shows. Meet some of your most loved anime creators including Yuki Kaji and Kazuki Yao.

There's going to be food pop-ups there but you can always head to ...

  • Taparelle - right in Manarat - for incredible pizzas, sharing platters, great drinks and a beautiful garden vibe.
  • Mamsha al Saadiyat isnt far away - we recommend Niri for great Japanese, Antonia for superb casual Italian or Feels for a cheeky smoothie.

    In for the second year, if you love a reset, you need to book yourself in for the Kayan Wellness Festival.

    There's going to be something for everyone. Start your weekend with a cold plunge with a whole ritual of breath and ice to say goodbye to any tension you're carrying. We're here for the Coffee Rituals and the Tea Ceremony where you'll sample some amazing teas in 3 sessions across the weekend. Listen to the rhythms of the Kayan Collective on Saturday, and at 2PM on Saturday you'll get to see the incredible Bear Grylls, chatting with Arabella Whiting from Emirates Nature - World Wildlife Fund.

    We're most excited to see entrepreneur Stephen Bartlett from the groundbreaking podcase, Diary of a CEO, inspiring others about his path to wellness.

    Picasso at the Louvre

    Saadiyat Island

    This is an incredible exhibition featuring a really wide range of Picasso sculptures and paintings from the Musee National Picasso-Paris. These are the most iconic portraits and figurative works of Pablo Picasso, an absolute must for art lovers.

    Time:

    Louvre Abu Dhabi’s general opening hours (during the Picasso exhibition) are:

    • Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
    • Friday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
    • Closed on Mondays

    The ADQ Community Carnival

    Khalifa Park

    There are live shows, there are tons of kids activities and family workshops, fun characters, bouncy castles and food trucks! This is the carnival you didn't know you needed. Head down to Khalifa Park with the whole family and stroll around for afternoons of fun.

    The Pre-loved Plate Mercato at Antonia

    Antonia Trattoria Al Zeina

    We all love Antonia's food - a moment please for the pizza, the gelato and the incredible tiramisu - but we're also here for the quirky plates and serveware that make Antonia restaurants truly beautiful.

    This Saturday only, you can head to Antonia Trattoria Al Zeina and buy plates to take home with you.

    On Saturday, these beautiful specimens will see their last service and then you get to take home a little bit of Antonia's history. You can either buy directly, or ask the team to cook you your favourite dish, served onto your plate, which you can then buy for just AED30. It'll be all clean and beautiful and ready for it's new home.

    We love this very 2026 initiative, with it's no waste message - and the chance to get a souvenir from your favourite Italian!

    Price: Either buy for AED45 per piece or in sets of 6 or 12.

    Stories & Snacks at Seed & Bloom

    Al Raha Gardens Plaza

    There's a lot going on at Seed & Bloom this month. Bring the children after school on Friday 6th for Stories & Snacks - they can interact with Falfoush the Elephant and engage in story time. This promises to be a great event for under 5s and a lovely family activity for the end of the week.
