For great steak with a view as your side, head to Prime52. Found on the 52nd floor of the Marriott - in the heart of Dubai Marina - the menu offers ‘farm to table’ steaks and they don’t disappoint. We recommend the Wagyu ribeye (AED337) - it’s always cooked to perfection and top quality. 

Look out for their promotions throughout the week for a great deal. ‘Tomahawk Tuesdays’ will set you back AED695 for 2 people, and you’ll score a tomahawk steak, 2 sides, 2 sauces, bread, dessert and a bottle of red wine. Bargain! They also offer date night Thursday - enjoy a three-course menu and a glass of bubbly for AED595 per couple, with all the fun and none of the stress of arranging a date night to remember. KANPAI

LEVEL 3 SOUK AL BAHAR | DOWNTOWN DUBAI

Literally under the shadow of the Burj Khalifa, this Japanese restaurant in Souk Al Bahar offers a range of traditional Japanese dishes, including sushi, tempura and skewers.Delicious? Yes, but don’t skip their Wagyu on hot stone - it makes our list of one of the best steaks in Dubai. At AED499, it’s not cheap - but it’s worth it for the taste and the location! The coarsely flecked marbling on the striploin will impress any steak-connoisseur and it’s melt-in-your-mouth tender. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there’s a great atmosphere in the evenings.

HUNTER & BARREL 

EMIRATES HILLS 

This Australian steakhouse offers premium steaks in Emirates Hills. They fire-grill the steaks, ensuring a smoky char on the outside and a juicy interior. You know they mean business with their own steak menu, with everything from fillet and rump to striploin and rib eye. Prices start at AED145,  including chunky chips or a house salad. For the ultimate steak experience, they have a Wagyu tomahawk at a hefty 1.5kg - but it’ll set you back an eye-watering AED1250! The service is reliably good and it’s always busy. Be sure to book if you’re planning a visit.

RARE BRASSERIE & BAR

C2 LICENSED AREA | CITY WALK

Rare is the unusual combination of a New York cocktail bar and a Parisian brasserie! It works: the result is a cool, vibrant spot with Art-Deco finishings, serving good food and offering excellent service. Whether you’re enjoying the views of the Dubai skyline and polo fields from the terrace in the cooler months, or nestled in a booth inside, you’re in for a treat at Rare. We recommend the Wagyu tartare with potato hash (AED110) or the bone marrow on toast (AED48) to start, before moving on to the range of steaks to try for main - entrecôte, Wagyu striploin and Porterhouse (a beast at 1kg!). This is a great option for steak with a buzzing atmosphere, conveniently located in the heart of the city.

SOUK MADINAT JUMEIRAH

Fancy a juicy steak whilst overlooking the iconic Burj Al Arab? The Meat Co is the one for you! A stalwart in the Dubai dining scene, located in the Souk for over 20 years, it continues to offer great food in a beautiful setting. Steak is their specialty and the menu includes beef from New Zealand, Australia, USA and South Africa, with prices starting from AED184. Enhance your steak experience with mushroom and truffle butter, truffle carpaccio, lobster tails or jumbo prawns - delicious. There’s a large range of sauces too, if you don’t fancy their standard option. No list of great steaks in Dubai would be complete without including The Meat Co!

JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS | BUSINESS BAY

Located on the 68th floor of the Marriott, this award-winning steak restaurant offers panoramic views of the city. They offer a great business lunch deal: AED125 for 2 courses or AED148 for 3 courses - and it includes a filet mignon as a main option. They also offer a ‘first cut’ deal (or early bird by another phrase!) in which you can enjoy a three-course menu (including a steak as your main) for only AED225 between 5.30PM - 6.30PM. Time it right and you can enjoy the sunset whilst tucking into your steak - perfection! Inside tip? Don’t miss going to the restrooms here - an experience in itself!

BUSHMAN’S RESTAURANT & BAR

ANANTARA | THE PALM 

This Australian outback steakhouse in the Anantara is a great pick if you’re looking for steak on the Palm. Its casual feel and easy-going atmosphere, combined with wallet-friendly prices (steak starts from a reasonable AED155 with sides) make it a hit with all their patrons. Be sure to order their truffle mash - it’s a must-try side. Fancy something a bit different? They have kangaroo on the menu, not something you see a lot of in the UAE and very on brand for Bushman’s! The portions are big so make sure you turn up hungry and ready for an Aussie feast!

SEAFIRE STEAKHOUSE & BAR

ATLANTIS THE PALM

If you’re chasing the wow-factor, this New York-style steakhouse in the iconic Atlantis The Palm ticks all the boxes. It’s family friendly and is a hit with tourists and residents alike. While it may be on the pricier side for a steak in the city (prices starting at AED355 for steak alone), the portions are generous and it’s worth it if you’re celebrating or looking to splash out. You can choose your own steak knife which is a cool touch (and don’t worry the staff can advise on which one is best for your selected cut!) and you get to choose the cut, score and marbling of your steak, making the experience extra special. The kitchen is open so you can watch your steak being cooked and if you’re feeling thirsty, there’s an extensive wine cellar, housing over 4,000 bottles! It’s all very extravagant and you’ll pay the price for this but it’s definitely one to try if you’re looking for a memorable steak experience in Dubai.
