Abu Dhabi is the delivery capital of the universe! We've got so many options and have the opportunity to have some truly stellar food delivered to our door.

Top tips from us:

Always order direct if at all possible - third party aggregators charge restaurants huge amounts per sale and the aim for the food and beverage industry is to see less dominance from them in the market.

Unless you absolutely need it, ask for no cutlery every time - the oceans will thank you!

BURGERS & SANDWICHES

So you can't talk about delivery without speaking about burgers and sandwiches, We love Bu Deech which we think has some of the best fried chicken wraps and fairly spicy burgers (AED28) in town.

We think Huff & Puff (AED25) is also right up there with its potato bun goodness (and sidenote, the storm shrimp with pasta is legendary!) and Springbok delivery is good and really reasonably priced.

For some funky flavours - we didn't know we needed a burger with Chips Oman until we wrapped our mouths around this beauty - hit up Burger 28 and Salt, even delivered, is always a great option.

If you haven't had the pleasure of a Gino's Deli panuozzo, you absolutely have to. We love the pizza dough sandwiches stuffed with butter chicken and burrata and the excellent meatball among another million great flavour combos. This is an Abu Dhabi must try.

CHINESE & THAI

In our opinion, the cuisine that Abu Dhabi most struggles to get right and please people is Chinese. We've found a few good ones that never fail to deliver ... and also deliver!

City Palace is an amazing Chinese serving fabulous noodles and dumplings along with a beyond solid crispy duck with pancakes, at really reasonable pricing.

For a more commercial but still super pleasing pan-Asian experience, PF Chang's is always a good answer. With locations in most malls in the city, they delivery pretty much everywhere and guarantee a good, if a bit more expensive, delivery experience.

Din Tai Fung is another great Taiwanese/Chinese outlet that delivers on island from its Galleria Mall location as well as to Khalifa City A from a cloud kitchen. Get the dumplings and the xiao long bao!

COMFORT FOOD

For the times when you just seriously need to chow down in your trackies in front of Netflix, Pasta Della Nonna leads the charge. With a load of different pasta options, including the UAE special penne pink! it's the best kind of comfort food delivery around.

The Mac Kitchen follows swiftly behind. Who doesn't love a mac n cheese, especially one with a twist. We routinely order the Maharaja with a touch of the butter chicken and the brisket which was entirely too good!

SWEET TREATS

It's 8PM, the cravings are hitting hard. Where do you turn? We love these fabbo delivery places ... and you're very welcome!

Our go-to is always Monica Bakes. Enjoy brownies of every kind imaginable, choux buns with most excellent fillings, cheesecake bars, cupcakes in the best flavours and maybe best of all, cookies that ooze chocolate ... to-ACTUAL-die-for! Get 20% off with BB+ and order direct

Canvas Gelato is a new one to us and you'll have to predict that craving in advance since it's an order-a-day-ahead situation. The flavour combinations are insane: their newest flavour Tropicalova comes as a make-your-own pavlova sundae kit. We love the black lemonade, the orange and the peanut butter and jam but there are loads more flavours we're adding to our list. They deliver to Abu Dhabi Monday to Friday and you can order off their website.

We love the bakery that the ladies from Sex and the City made famous for their cakes, and the cupcakes they deliver. Our recommendation for the late night munchies is a pot of the Magnolia Bakery fabulous banana pudding. It's delish and the ultimate in sweet comfort food.

Fancy a doughnut? Check out the new addition to the Waitrose Mall in Khalifa City A, Here-O Doughnuts. The flavours are unique but the creme brulee is a must order - they even do vegan options which are equally as yummy as their counterparts.

MEXICAN

A couple of years ago, it was slim pickings for Mexican food in Abu Dhabi. Now, we've got some really strong options. Which have you tried?

La Patrona has a dine-in in Nakheel Apartments but equally as exciting is the fact that they deliver all across the top of the island, Saadiyat and Reem as well as down to Al Reef. We love the mini burritos, the soft tacos and the nachos which are topping heavy and luscious.

With just as good a delivery range, we love Chicano. The tacos are outstanding and we love that you can cater for a crowd with a massive boxful of burritos. Get a pizza birria, stuffed full of meatiness and be sure to try the nachos.

Burro Blanco is an Abu Dhabi Mexican staple. The flavours are fresh and clean and the burritos thick and juicy. This is going to cover all your Mexican cravings and then some!

WINGS

Sopranos has some of the best wings in Abu Dhabi. There's a load of meat, a heap of sauce and they're just completely moreish. If you like them spicy, get buffalo, if you're more a lover of the sweet, get the very cool BBQ. Order direct from Sopranos.

Get both boneless or bone-in wings and find the key in a whole raft of signature sauces. We like the Thai curry and the salt and vinegar for it's total flavour hit. What's your favourite?

It's all about the chicken at Wingstop - boneless or classic, take your pick. Pay between AED38 and AED44 for 6/8 pieces and chow down.

INDIAN

Khana Khazana is a new kid on the block for Indian food delivery in Abu Dhabi. Located in Le Meridien, there are some strong must-tries on the menu. The chicken malai bao are insanely good and the samosa chaat is excellent, but it's the biryanis and the curries that we really love.

Mynt

If you're looking for a good British Indian, the Best Bites community highly recommends Mynt. With a 15% BB+ discount, it's high on the list for many, not just for the value that represents but the fabulous breads and massive curries are absolute Abu Dhabi Indian food must-tries.

Tandoori Corner is an Abu Dhabi favourite and many people swear this is the best Indian takeaway in Abu Dhabi. Everything is devastatingly tasty and authentic - make sure you order the garlic naan which is next level.

Wherever you live in Abu Dhabi, India Palace delivers to you. The menu is vast which means you can try something different every time. There are plenty of vegetarian options and the paneer makhni kofta is a strong choice!

Last but not least is Moti Mahal, where the Abu Dhabi long-stayers have always come to eat Get seafood dishes, tandoori, seekh kababs and so much more, all of amazing quality.

ROASTS

If it's a Sunday roast you need, you've got 2 options to get it delivered to your doorstep: Easy Tiger and West To West Kitchen.

Given that West To West serves a fabulous blend of West Indian and Sierra Leonean food, you can imagine that the roast would way surpass your usual meat and two veg - and you'd be right. Choose either a big appetite or small, and you get a choice of lamb or chicken, one side, and all the trimmings including some outstanding Yorkshire puddings and fabulous rice and peas, mac n cheese, jollof rice or plantain! Add on a sticky toffee pudding (AED21) and your day is made!
