MAY'S WINE CLUB BOXES
Easy Drinker - AED 299 for 6 bottles (Retail price: AED436)
Bellingham Sauvignon Blanc
A medium bodied dry white with intense aromas of grapefruit, along with subtle hints of gooseberries on the nose. These lead to refreshing acidity on the palate with flavours of melon, pineapple and white peach characters on the mouthfeel.
Drink on its own or with lighter meals such as salads, a poke bowl or mussels in white wine sauce – perfect for summer.
Trentham Estate Chardonnay
A medium-bodied dry wine from the land down under, this Chardonnay shows typical aromas of this variety: peaches and pineapples, with a hint of vanilla from the use of French oak. The palate offers plenty of the same, with lively acidity, a creamy texture on the mouthfeel and a lingering taste on the palate.
Great food wine – try it with pasta, pizza, chicken, soups and hard cheese.
Don Luis Syrah
A medium-bodied dry red from Chile made from the Shiraz grape variety, this wine offers plenty of juicy dark berry fruit characters on the nose with hints of pepper and spices. The palate shows attractive blackberry and plum flavours leading to a silky-smooth finish on the mouthfeel.
Ideal BBQ wine or for oven roasts of lamb and chicken – best with harder cheeses.
Funkstille Riesling
Aromatic aromas of lime juice and jasmine flowers make for an interesting nose on this white wine from Austria. The palate offers plenty of juicy white peach flavours, with vibrant acidity leading to a dry finish.
Great as an aperitif, or with salads, seafood such as salmon or soft cheeses.
Le Promenade Provence Rose
From the Provence region in Southern France, this blend of red grape varieties has plenty of raspberry and red fruit characters on the nose, while the tastes on the mouth offer juicy watermelon, pomegranate and redcurrant flavours.
Can easily be drunk on its own – or enjoy with seafood, salads, soft cheeses or soups.
Beefsteak Club Malbec Rose
A rose made from the Malbec grape variety, this bottle has attractive strawberry and red fruit aromas on the nose. The flavours on the palate range from more of the above - strawberries and red fruit - to the freshness of watermelon and a pomegranate acidity.
More of a food-style of rose - best with the likes of roast chicken, steamed fish, chicken schnitzel or cream-based pastas.
The Easy Drinker box is a relaxed, crowd-pleasing mix of wines that are smooth, approachable and perfect for everyday drinking. Coming in just shy of AED50 per bottle, it’s the perfect mix to stock your cupboard with something for every palate.

Serge Dagueneau Pouilly Fume
From the French wine region of Pouilly Fume - and made from the grape variety of Sauvignon Blanc - this medium bodied wine offers attractive gooseberry and herbaceous aromas on the nose. The palate is intense, with flavours of grapefruit and white peach, leading to cleansing acidity leaving your mouth dry and refreshed.
Ideal with soft cheeses.
Chateau Mulonniere Cabernet Franc
A wine that’s 10 years old in 2026, yet drinks like a wine that is much younger than this. Attractive raspberry and red berry fruit dominate the nose with subtle aromas of charred oak from the use of French oak barrels. The mouthfeel is very smooth- velvety and elegant - leading to a long finish of dark plum and crushed blueberries.
Drink on its own to see how the wine develops in your glass.
Chateau Bellegrave St Emilion
Made mainly from the Merlot grape variety, this is a great introduction into drinking wines from the region of St Emilion. Dark plum along with red berry fruit can be found on the nose with aromas of oak from the time the wine spent in barrels. The mouthfeel is complex with flavours of oak, dark fruits and earthy characters leading to a dry finish on this medium-bodied red.
Drink with red meats or hard cheeses.
Domaine Rochebin Aligote
From the French region of Burgundy and the white variety of Aligote, this lesser known variety punches well above is weight class. Attractive green and yellow apple aromas with hints of white flowers make for an interesting smell. The palate has oodles of fresh acidity to cleanse the tongue with lovely, juicy white peach flavours on the mouthfeel.
Best to drink on its own or with seafood or sushi.
Marlborough Sounds Organic Sauvignon Blanc
Aromas of straw and white flowers make for a lovely aroma on this dry New Zealand white. The flavours range from white peach to yellow apple on the palate with vibrant acidity on the mouthfeel, leaving your palate dry and contemplating another glass.
A wine that best needs food - think steamed fish or mussels, chicken, creamy sauce-based pasta or soft cheeses.
Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
A Blanc complex Sauvignon from South Africa that has intense aromatic herb and white asparagus aromas on the nose. The palate is richer than you’ll find with most Sauvignon Blanc, offering lovely green apple, citrus and grapefruit flavours.
A wine best to drink with cheese that has a higher fat content - such as camembert, brie or goats cheese.
For those who want something a little more premium, the VIP Vintage (AED599) is an elevated selection featuring wines from some of the world’s best-known regions. From South Africa to New Zealand, along with astrong French showing, traverse some of the most recognisable - and renowned - wine regions, all without leaving Abu Dhabi.
