This is the surprise entry in this year's turkey tour: it's an excellent standard of turkey and should definitely be considered as a player in the game, not least because they deliver!

The turkey comes golden, glistening and aromatic with crispy skin and tender and tasty meat .

With a host of colourful sides, this errs on the side of traditional, with beautifully green Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, making each plateful appealing. There are no roasties, instead, choose from baby potato confit, mashed potatoes, or Oriental rice. The festive bread stuffing is beautiful with a delicate sweetness from the dried fruits and roasted chestnuts.

Kilner jars house four condiments to raise your turkey dinner to the next level: a hit-the-spot cranberry sauce, with juicy whole cranberries, an apple chutney, braised white cabbage, and a citrusy giblet gravy.

This is an incredible option for a turkey takeaway! It's upscale, it's perfectly cooked and comes with proper stuffing and luscious sides - what more could you ask for to make your Christmas amazing?

I'm not sure if it's the presence of the tender timer and the honey glaze, but this bird is gloriously juicy and tasty. It's very hard to get turkeys right, but the team here has managed it with aplomb - no extras are necessary, though do have a dollop of cranberry and some bread sauce.

Potatoes are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and moreish enough that we recommend you buy a double batch: they're that good. The stuffing is divine - bready and oniony and crispy, so good. We love the carrots and parsnips, the Brussels sprouts ae absolutely superb and the butternut is a nice option too. It also comes with chestnuts with the most excellent caramelised onions - this is a must-try!

If you've decided against a turkey this year, Jumeirah Saadiyat offers either beef or lamb to replace it - both excellent options!

Best of all, you can enjoy it all the way through to January 10th, so once you've gotten over your Christmas turkey, order this one or any of these delectable roasts - for the sheer pleasure of it.

CONRAD ETIHAD TOWERS

Consistently one of the best turkey takeaways in Abu Dhabi, Conrad makes all the festive bells ring. The turkey is large (feeds 8) and genuinely succulent.

There are generous servings of carrot with parsnips and Brussels sprouts with chestnuts along with the best sweet potato and pumpkin. We love that they have pumpkin bits that are gorgeously crispy with a lovely caramelisation - these are definitely picked off the plate first! The potatoes are crispy and soft and herbed to perfection and there were loads of them. Seasoning on all the vegetables was excellent, which is not always a given.

The chipolatas are the show-stoppers: these little sausages wrapped in bacon were soft and juicy and will be gone in 60 seconds.

This gravy is dark, rich and tasty and there's plenty of it and the thick cranberry jelly goes perfectly with the turkey.
