THURSDAY JAZZ NIGHT AT HOODS RESTO & BAR

Newly opened resto-bar Hoods, is bringing you a lively night out with unique cocktails, delicious food and all that jazz. You'll be toe-tapping the night away while jazz artist David plays some R&B hits and classics like “Fever” by Peggy Lee - you’re sure to start clicking your fingers like the crowd last Thursday night! The entertainment starts at 9:30 PM and there's a party vibe that builds over the course of the evening.

ENTERTAINMENT: With the bar full and the crowd waiting in anticipation, David took centre stage and did his magic with the mic. Not only is he an amazing singer, but he dazzled the crowd with some snazzy twists and moves. The energy was contagious: it was impossible to stay seated! Everyone was dancing ( following COVID rules) and just having the best time.

FOOD: You can’t go to Hoods without trying their signature jumbo cheese rolls ! This is a cheese-lovers dream: two thick, perfectly golden nuggets filled with mozzarella, cheddar and cream cheese - perfection! The Hawaii-mix seafood is a stuffed, smoky pineapple that's not only a visual spectacle, but also delivers in taste: the rich, creamy filling with mussels, calamari and shrimp is flavoursome. If one slice of cheese isn’t enough for you, order the lava cheeseburger, and watch the injection of melted cheddar cheese. We finished with the chocolate bomb, a delicious masterpiece! The menu also had some great vegetarian options.

COCKTAILS: Whether you're looking for mocktails or cocktails, these bartenders are talented mixologists that will serve you old-time favourites like pina coladas and margaritas but will also surprise you with their customised creations that look incredible. We tried the Hoods mojito which was refreshing and had a unique blackberry twist, while the blue martini was strong, just the way I like it.
