Reviews
Do you want to eat, play, laugh, party – or do all four? Head to Eat, Play, Laugh for Saturday brunch to nail your fun for the weekend!
DRINKS: The margarita bar was my favourite: the pumpkin spiced margarita was perfect, not too sweet with a hint of cinnamon and a nice little spice kick at the end. Polar opposite was the strawberry margarita, fruity and sweet with a brown sugar rim. The drinks kept flowing, literally, the roaming gin bar was dangerous but oh so awesome!
EAT: We were spoilt for choice: the live cooking stations were plentiful and comprised of a range of dishes from around the world from Asian to Italian and everything in between. The cold seafood station had fresh poached shrimp, crab and the type of oysters you slurp one after another. The sushi and cheese station made great appetizers. Holy guacamole, the Mexican tacos and nachos stuffed with fresh avocado, juicy pulled short ribs and sour cream were moreish. The laksa station was popular, bowls of creamy coconut goodness with bursts of flavour from the lemongrass, ginger, chillies and fresh shrimp. My husband loved the grilled seafood station, especially the grilled lobster which came tender and tasty with a lemon-garlic butter sauce. The carvery station with trimmings was impressive: the beef short rib is melt-in-your-mouth and the leg of lamb and ribeye were succulent. Last but not least, the dessert was delicious: tiers of decadent cupcakes, fresh churros, chocolate fondue, sorbets, and cakes ... the sugar rush was worth it!
PLAY: For the child in you, giant Jenga, darts, foosball and beer pong are sure to bring in an element of fun and a little healthy competition amongst friends while you dance to the DJ’s beats.
PARTY: The brunch might end at 4 pm but the party continues at Velocity Sports Bar and Lounge with an additional beverage package.

The team at Kuzbara has gone all-out to produce their best iftar buffet yet and aside from all the Ramadan favourites and amazing Ramadan drinks and teas, there are some really great touches.
The two giant tureens take centre stage: one full to the brim with lamb ouzi and the other prawn machboos, both excellent, but the lamb always wins me over - it’s beautifully succulent and tasty. My next favourite was the made-on-the-spot shawarma, rich with garlic sauce, pickles and fries. We loved the grills made-to-order, the sushi, the manakeesh and the lentil soup - too good!
The Indian station deserves its own mention. Nothing captures my heart as much as freshly prepared naan being smacked into the tandoor. It comes out sizzling and is immediately doused with butter - mouthwatering! Plate it up with some butter chicken and bam! my day is made!
This is the one time of year I get to enjoy luqaimat- these golden, sticky, doughy balls are amazing and coincidentally, right next to the ice-cream stand. It’s not traditional to add a scoop, but it works for me! Don’t leave without a slice of chocolate cake and a roll of baklawa.
This is a great place to break your fast or enjoy the iftar experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and genuinely service-driven and this is what sets it apart from others. I can’t recommend it enough.

Also, the live oud music is hauntingly beautiful and really makes the ambiance exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough.
