So we tried the Chef’s Table Menu for our date night at Bushra (Trilogy by Buddha Bar) on Saturday Night and the value for money coupled with the quality of food surpassed all our expectations.

The starter course was a great selection of cold and hot mezze and definitely my favourite. The silky smooth hummus, fruity vine leaves, flavoursome kibbeh and fresh fattoush salad excited the palette from the very beginning and whilst each dish stood on its own, you can tell this course was intentionally designed for you to combine all the dishes into one bite, inside a warm pocket of pita, to maximise on all these lebanese textures and flavours.

Next was the main course, which also came with a side of belly-dancing entertainment!

We got tucked into our meshawee and let me tell you, Bushra knows how to cook their meat. Lamb kofta will always be my favourite and this one did not disappoint, the chicken kebab was juicy and packed a garlic punch and the beef immediately melted in our mouths. If you are more of a fish enthusiast, you are also most certainly catered for, with their sea bass risotto. The soft and buttery fish is the star of this dish, and it sits on a bed of delicious risotto accentuated with crispy tempura onions and crispy sea bass skin.

To finish off with, a fragrant lemon tart graced our table and it had just the right filling to pastry ratio a good tart would possess and gave a lighter finish to the meal.

The bar staff most definitely also deserve a round of applause because the mocktails served throughout were simply fruity, delicious and refreshing and complimented all of the dishes beautifully.

Overall would highly recommend anyone to embark on this Lebanese cuisine journey and for 350AED per person there's simply no excuse
