We visited Al Qana for the first time recently and had lunch at Otoro. It wasn’t long after we sampled the first dish that I started what’s apping pictures to the BB team and various friends saying ‘omg you guys, Otoro is amazing, you have to try!’

It’s Japanese at its finest and highlights included the wakame salad (a first for my kids who couldn’t believe they were enjoying salad!) the wagyu burger, the nigiri (the otoro is insane!) and the miso black cod. Oh and the noodles!

We each enjoyed a different dessert: I found eating the black sesame crème brûlée with my eyes closed helped me process the taste. I liked it - feed back when you go if you did too!

With the 15% BB+ discount, it came to AED600 for 4 of us, so not your everyday lunch, but great for a treat for sure.

They don’t serve alcohol but mocktails absolutely on point.
