B.I.G. - SATURDAY BRUNCH IN GARAGE

If I were to describe the Friday brunch at Garage in 4 words it would be….FUN! FOODIE! FRESH! FANTASTICAL! Go B.I.G. or go home! It had been a minute since I visited this brunch and they have made some tweaks that make it stand out from the pack. It has a big selection of buffet dishes, live cooking stations and there is a parade of delicious surprise visits to your table.

FOOD STATIONS! The selection was vast and featured food from their 5 culinary hubs within the restaurant. There was everything from fresh sushi, katsu burgers, rainbow hummus, wok-fried dishes, lobster salad, beef carpaccio and even a mini roast dinner with Yorkshire puddings. Some items were served buffet style and others like the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) with bok choi and yolk crumble were made to order and delivered to your table. The fried chicken and sweet potato waffle drizzled in BBQ sauce was a hit. I may have let out a squeal when I saw them! 

 The raw fish station had both maki rolls, nigiri, and two different ceviches. There was so much selection across many cuisines, I didn’t get to it all! Don't sleep on the freshly baked sweet pull-apart rolls near the Meat Vault. They were heavenly.

SURPRISE VISITS! Throughout the brunch, there were traveling 'stations' that made their way around the room. First, it was flaky flatbread with smoked salmon, next it was a cart filled with freshly steamed dim sum. Then the oysters with ponzu and cucumber pickle stopped for a visit followed by the cocktail cart serving up cocktails with hibiscus tea. The final visit was from the dessert “fairy” who stopped by with a tasty selection of desserts including crème brulee, cheesecake, and choux puffs stuffed with cream. There was also a massive, I’m talking HUGE, lemon meringue tart that was sliced up and served to the tables.

DRINKS, VIBE & AFTER PARTY! This brunch is a vibe! The music is loud, 

 perfect for a party brunch but not so loud that you can't hear each other speak. The champagne is Laurent-Perrier and the cocktails are flowing on tap! Beer, wine, spirits, and mocktails are also on the menu. I cannot go to W Abu Dhabi without a visit to W Lounge. It's sooo beautiful. It’s a must-stop post-brunch that keeps the party going. They have daily happy hour - buy one get one free on select drinks. I recommend the passion fruit cocktail. Cheers!
