We’ve always loved Asia Asia for its beautiful decor, outstanding food and views for days and now we love it for the amazing value Best Bites Summer Menu!

There are 4 courses, starting strong with some salty edamame, a good miso soup and our favourite, the fish options. The superb hamachi (yellowtail) ceviche with wakamomo (weeny peaches!) and carpaccio salmon, elevated with a very subtle truffle ponzu, were melt-in-your-mouth good!

Course two saw us diving into the Philadelphia maki, generously sprinkled with red caviar. The next two dishes were the best of the night: the shrimp skewer with fat shrimps alternating with asparagus and courgettes and the dim sum basket. While we enjoyed them all, the sweet potato dumpling with a hint of truffle was incredible.

The ‘main’ course was angry chicken, perfect for the lovers of spice and the very excellent ribeye with veal jus, cooked to taste and of outstanding quality. This course alone represents great value!

Dessert was either a sorbet or lotus creme brulee, high on taste and texture. What a way to finish!

Drinks

There’s a drinks menu to choose from with 2 mocktails, 2 cocktails, wine and beer. The sake’ based Haruka with lychee juice was fragrant with hints of rose syrup. The watermelon & basil martini was my favourite, the perfect pink drink which was refreshing and fruity; the watermelon and vodka made the perfect pair.
