CHUCK AND FRIDA
YAS MALL FOOD COURT
This Slovakian food hall concept is new to theYas Mall food court. With 4 different outlets under the Chuck and Frida banner, including Vietnamese Bahn-Mi-Ba, Hawaiian Poke Bistro, Regal Burger and Cuppa Joe, there's something for everyone. We absolutely rate the bahn mi, and the cheeseburger is mammoth, with a juicy patty to elevate it just that bit more.
Head to Chuck and Frida's pre or post cinema or for a quick and potentially healthy lunch at the food court.

BOOBA
YAS MALL
Booba is the best place to get bubble tea, ice-cream and shakes in Yas Mall.
We swoon over the bubble tea - choose your tapioca flavour - and think the raspberry might be the overall winner.
Pricing is reasonable and is a good option to bring with you into the cinema or to have as you wander the mall.

Elan is a new addition to Yas Bay and if you're all about an amazing Instagrammable restaurant in Abu Dhabi, this is your pretty, pink, glitzy, Fraggle-furry jam!
We started at the end, with cake! We love the strawberry cake (AED45), which is a sponge with the most beautiful buttercream sandwiching the layers and think this is one of the better options for this kind of thing in Abu Dhabi. We also tried the lotus s'mores brownie (AED38) and have our eye on the dulce de leche cake for next time.
There's a huge selection of drinks to choose from (coffees start at AED25) with 5 Spanish options, 8 different Instagrammable drinks and a massive range of frappes and iced drinks - you'll be spoilt for choice! Mocktails come in between AED40 and AED45 - we recommend the strawberry granita!
This is also a great place to have breakfast in Abu Dhabi, with French toast being our favourite option as well as the cute mini pancakes cereal.
We're pleased to see that while Elan isn't exactly pocket-friendly, it doesn't completely break the bank and the quality is up there.

THE IRISH VICKERS
AL RAHA BEACH HOTEL
This new string to the Irish Vickers bow is a welcome addition to the massive amount of people now living in Raha Beach. On the site of the old McGettigan's, Vickers offers a great pub menu with port, great beer on draught and a superb Irish pub atmosphere.
ANGEL CAKES

If you like a healthy treat, Angel Cakes could be the answer to your prayers. Serving refined sugar free and gluten free cakes, Angel Cakes is a great place for anyone who wants to be sure the can stick to their dietary requirements but still have a good coffee and a treat.
Located right on the Atrium at Yas Mall, it's a great place to watch the world go by and enjoy healthy treats and drinks. There are drinks for beauty, metabolism and balance, tea, coffee, smoothies and juices - so many to choose from. Choose a breakfast item including rice, asparagus and oat porridges, egg-based dishes and our favourite, the sweet potato waffle.
Best of all, Angel Cakes is definitely worth a try for anyone who's coeliac or needs a gluten free diet - there's no cross contamination!

SLRP BY 3 FILS

We all know and love 3 Fils in Dubai, and now we get the chance to get a bit of that goodness here in Abu Dhabi. SLRP is described as Abu Dhabi's premier ramen haven and we can confirm, we think it's knocked other pretenders off the top spot!
With handmade noodles and a big focus on both flavours and textures, it's a bit of a no-brainer. If you're keen to try the best ramen in Abu Dhabi, make a beeline for SLRP at Yas Mall.

GRAND BEIRUT (opens tomorrow)
AL QANA
The second branch of Grand Beirut opens at Al Qana with a flourish! This will do exceptionally well in this very cool location (Otoro side) where there are views of the marina to go with the gloriously beautiful interior.
The modern Lebanese menu is one to go back for time and time again: dishes are beautifully plated, the twists on the traditional are real and well-thought through and service is great.
For Lebanese food with a view, Grand Beirut is an amazing option.

MARSA AL BATEEN
There's a brand new chicken place and it's going to be the new go-to for anyone with a good old chicken fetish. Expect tenders and burgers with massive battered chicken fillets with honey butter - this is a sublime food experience, not to be missed if you love burgers!
