GET YOUR GRILL ON AT MINA FISHMARKET
Choose your prawns, fish or lobster and get them grilled to your liking, right in front of you at the fishmarket. It's not flashy but taste reigns supreme! Add to this that it's the cheapest and freshest way to eat seafood in Abu Dhabi and you're looking at a no-lose situation!
AL FAY PARK FREEBIES
This park on Reem Island is a huge hidden gem! Did you know that you can go and stroll around, enjoy the 2000 plants on site, play mini-golf, badminton, table tennis, football and basketball. There's a climbing wall, great entertainment for younger children with a kids area and a skate park too. There's a fitness section with a whole lot of built-in equipment, perfect for finishing your workout once you've run around the pretty blue running path. Best of all, it's all free!
If you're feeling peckish once you're all played out, there are food trucks to get a few snacks - don't rely on these being open before evening during Ramadan though!
TAKE A TUK TUK
Tuk Tuk is arguably one of Abu Dhabi's best Thai street food restaurants, made more accessible since their move to Salam Street. All the ingredients are authentically Thai, chefs are Thai and food is pretty much what you'd find on the street in Bangkok - what more do you need? We love the noodle dishes and the green curry and honestly, the mango sticky rice is right up there on our list.
Khob khun ka for coming into our lives Tuk Tuk!
