It is safe to say that padel has taken the UAE by storm and with padel courts popping up all over the capital now there are more places to choose to get your sweat on. This hybrid of squash and tennis (though the pros will tell you it is unlike either), is a fast-paced, calorie-burning sport, and is favoured by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which has brought huge recognition to the sport in the UAE.
If thinking about playing outside is already leaving you in a puddle of sweat (don’t worry us too!), you’ll want to check out the new indoor courts at Rebound Abu Dhabi. This indoor padel club, located in Rabdan, boasts 5 state-of-the-art panoramic padel courts, 1 of which is completely private, with WPT official turf and anti glare lighting, full changing and showering facilities, and a juice and coffee bar. The courts are now open from 8am – 12am for even more hours of padel playing.

For a truly authentic Mexican experience you need to check out La Patrona at Al Nakheel Hotel Apartments. This tiny blink-and-you’ll-miss-it type place feels like you’re stepping into a cantina on the streets of Mexico City, and their tacos certainly pack a punch in terms of flavour. The team here are super proud of their heritage and try to stay as loyal as possible in terms of recipes and preparation methods. We love the taco Patrona with smoked rib-eye, refried beans and grilled onions topped with deliciously melted cheese.
For a mega-affordable deal their ‘taco Tuesday’ is hard to beat. For just AED69 for two people you get unlimited chips & beans, 6 tacos (you can choose up to 3 varieties), and unlimited aguas frescas. What a steal!
And as if that wasn’t good enough BB+ members get 20% off a la carte (no promotional) and 20% off delivery for when you need that taco fix but can’t more off your sofa!
