Rayanna Terrace has slayed it since it opened last year on the 19th floor of what we commonly refer to as 'the leaning tower'. Decor is funky, the space is intimate and the vibe strong. Catch the incredible sunset , let Dana choose your cocktail choices and mop the alcohol up with some of the best bar snacks around. Finish off with a churro or two with the absolute best dulce de leche ever. Night made.

VAKAVA | CONRAD ETIHAD TOWERS

VaKaVa is definitely the jewel in the terrace crown. It's spacious, has a great water view and is famous for serving the best in vivacious Latino drinks and snacks. Its Ladies Night Tuesdays are among the best in town. Vamanos!

SHALA TERRACE | PARK HYATT ABU DHABI

Our top tip for Shala is to go for sunset - so romantic and so peaceful. Enjoy some of the expertly crafted cocktails and mocktails and while the hours away in a Hampton-esque setting. Never has the Gulf looked better and nowhere will you feel more relaxed!

PEARL LOUNGE | GRAND HYATT

Aside from the views over the sea, Pearl Lounge has a bit of something for everyone. Some incredible mezzes (our pick is the lamb chops), great shisha with a very sweet shisha guy, and crepes a-la-minute, this is a great place to spend a winter evening.

GLOW | ALOFT

There's no huger screen than the one at Glow - perfect for watching sport. But also, the food menu is good, drinks off all kinds flow and the shisha is excellent ... and all for a really reasonable price.

ASIA ASIA | YAS BAY

You're spoilt for choice here - there are terraces on three sides! The best of these faces the promenade and has great views over to Al Zeina and towards Saadiyat. This is a great place to people watch while sampling Asia Asia's incredible Asian fusion menu. This is a top choice for a date night or a good meal with friends.

AZURA PANORAMIC LOUNGE | ST REGIS ABU DHABI

Not only is Azura a great place to get shisha, it's also a fabulous option for dining out. With awe-inspiring views that stretch over to Emirates Palace and down the Corniche, it's perfect for catching the sunset or enjoying city lights, drink and shisha in hand. Go for date night, go for a relaxed dinner - it's one of Abu Dhabi's most underrated terraces.
